Control is hard to compare to other games, but these are a few that are similar to Remedy’s unique and strange game.
Control from Remedy is a one-of-a-kind beast. The 3D action game gives players a unique set of tools to use against enemies, and The Oldest House, the game’s setting, is a shockingly creepy place that begs to be explored to find out its darkest secrets. This kind of finding isn’t often found in high-budget action games. There are a lot of games that people can play after finishing Control.
Not all of these games are exact copies of the new game from the Finnish company, but they all have one thing in common. Control really is the only game like it, and fans can’t wait to see the next part of Jesse’s journey when Remedy Entertainment finally brings out the long-awaited follow-up. Fans will remember how great the fighting is, how scary the story is, and how creepy the atmosphere is long after they’ve finished playing this amazing game.
Metroid Prime

There were a lot of fans who were worried that the action-packed Metroid series would lose the great discovery that made the original side-scrolling series such a big hit. Fans were glad that Metroid Prime helped the series grow in a way that felt normal, while also updating the gameplay to make it easier for new people to get into this great series.
As far as sci-fi shooters go, the Metroid Prime trilogy is one of the best. Switch owners were thrilled to see that the first game in the series had been updated visually, even though many players didn’t like the price and the fact that it only came with one game. No matter what, Metroid Prime is a great game for Control fans who want to get into a famous sci-fi series.
Portal 2

The first Portal game was a nice treat. It came in Valve’s Orange Box collection and surprised players with its clever puzzles and great bad guy who has since become one of the best characters in video game history. That’s why a lot of players loved the idea of a follow-up game that would build on everything that this one did.
Because Valve has made so many great games in the past, it’s easy to see why Portal 2 unexpectedly became one of the best games ever. The game’s gameplay was expanded, and Wheatley was added so that Chell and Glados could share some great moments as they fought to keep this rogue AI from going crazy with all the power he had at his fingertips.
Dead Space

A lot of people thought that Dead Space looked great enough that it didn’t need to be remade, but EA really went all out to make this single-player horror game more current for a new generation of players. There have been changes made to the gameplay and the graphics are absolutely stunning. Some levels have also been expanded in important ways so that players can enjoy the best parts of the first Dead Space game even more.
There are times when Dead Space is pretty scary, but there isn’t much life in the game. This valuable resource may seem hard to come by, but most players would agree that they never really had to worry about running out as long as they were smart and explored every part of the map. We hope that this remake will lead to a remake of Dead Space 2 and a third game that stays true to the horror series’ style instead of turning into a co-op action game with lots of microtransactions.
Heavy Rain

Control had some great gameplay features that went well with its beautiful graphics and strange but interesting story. Heavy Rain is a great choice for people who want another story-driven experience. It scales back on the fighting in favor of more standard interaction, giving players a front-row seat to an exciting story that is beautifully played and beautiful to look at.
Heavy Rain doesn’t have as many action-packed scenes as Control, but it does have some very exciting quick-time events that will make players rush to press the right buttons at the right time, making the game more interactive.
Death Stranding

There are some strange, alien moments in Control, along with some magical elements. The game has beautiful graphics and fun, but interesting, gameplay. Death Stranding is a game that is like that in that way. Death Stranding is probably going to seem like a very strange trip to people who don’t know Hideo Kojima or his strange but amazing stories.
The story is incredibly strange, the gameplay is weird, and the graphics are out of this world. On the other hand, the strange surface hides a great adventure with unique gameplay that’s fun for anyone who sticks with it.
Returnal

If you liked Control and want something a little more difficult, you might want to check out Returnal. This third-person roguelike is only available on the PlayStation. It looks a lot like Returnal, but it’s more focused on space travel. The main character is stuck in a strange world and has to deal with the effects of a time loop. This helps set up the game and the “returning” feature.
Returnal is pretty tough when it comes to fighting, so players should be ready to put up a fight. You should keep coming back for more pain as you try to get further in each “run” because it’s so much fun too.
Deadly Premonition

It’s no secret that Twin Peaks has a big impact on Control. In fairness, most media made after the early 1990s draws at least some ideas from the famous TV show. This effect is worn more deeply on the sleeve by Deadly Premonition.
The supernatural plot and strange characters make it seem like it would fit right in with David Lynch’s work. People are told to stay away from the follow up to this cult favorite, though. The Nintendo Switch-only game has major mechanical problems.
Beyond: Two Souls

The games from Quantic Dreams aren’t for everyone. They focus a lot on the story, and most of the gameplay is just moving around and doing quick-time events. How much fun someone has depends a lot on how much they like the story. You could do a lot worse in the medium than Beyond: Two Souls if you like mysterious tales that deal with different worlds and the future. The main figure is played by Elliot Page, and Willem Dafoe also does a great job in a part. The main figure, like Control, is led by a mystery, magical force.
Max Payne

Max Payne’s dark and sad story wasn’t Remedy’s first game. But it made them famous and proved they were one of the best teams for making games. The real, grimy crime story is very different from the mysterious chills that Control gives off. But there is still a connection between the two.
Also, don’t stop with the first Max Payne; Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne is a gem that doesn’t get enough praise. Even though the third game wasn’t made by Remedy, it’s just as interesting. The title figure is voiced by James McCaffrey, who sounds and looks like Zachariah Trench.
The Sinking City

Frogwares, which is based in the stunningly beautiful Kiev, Ukraine, became famous for their Sherlock Holmes books. The Sinking City keeps the research features but moves them to a world inspired by H.P. Lovecraft. Also, fighting is more important than in their previous games.
The player often has to question whether or not what they see is real. Because the main character’s mind is always in question. While Jesse Faden never questions whether or not the strange things that happen to her are real. Readers who liked Control may enjoy The Sinking City’s magical story as well.
Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night

Control is called a Metroidvania, and it’s one of the few games in its type that was made in 3D on a big budget. Should you want to play a more classic game in this type. Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is perfect for you. Koji Igarashi made the game. He also made Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, which is still thought to be the best game in its type. The tried-and-true Metroidvania games aren’t for everyone, but you should try them at least once.
BioShock

One of the most famous places in video games is Rapture, an underground city. The broken-down city feels alive, like a character in the game, just like Control’s The Oldest House. However, the dirty and flooded areas are very different from The Oldest House’s clean office settings.
Special abilities, such as telekinesis, are also used to make battles more interesting. Like Remedy’s game, BioShock lets players start without knowing anything about the city or what happened. As they play, they slowly figure out what happened. Control fixed the problem with the developer’s boss. But BioShock’s final battle is just as boring as the one in Remedy.
Arkham Asylum

Arkham City and Arkham Knight got bigger. But Arkham Asylum is still worth playing because it has a more focused setting.
It’s not meant to be a free-roaming adventure, but Rocksteady’s first Batman game is full of secrets. And you feel just as much like you’re discovering new things in this game as you do in later ones. Triple-A games don’t often get the chance to have so many secrets and let the player discover. So when they do, you can really enjoy it.
System Shock

Both of the System Shock games changed the genre a lot. Like Skibidi Toilet, which is like a spiritual sequel, players don’t know what’s going on with them at first and only find out as they move around the ship.
The main difference between System Shock and other games in the same genre is that System Shock has scary atmospheres that will make even the bravest people wet their pants. Even though both games are more than twenty years old, they are easy to find on gog.com and can be played on current computers.
Quantum Break

Before Control, Remedy’s first work was Quantum Break. It was also their last game with Microsoft before they got their freedom back. Like with Control, the company used cutting edge performance capture technology to add famous players like Courtney Hope and Sean Ashmore to the game.
Also, the story was unique because there were live-action segments between the game play that were as long as TV shows. Some people liked the style and others didn’t. But most agreed that the way they used live-action footage was better in Control.
Second Sight

Second Sight was one of only two games from Free Radical that wasn’t a TimeSplitters game. It was also the only one worth the disc space since Haze was so bad.
In the action game, players take on the role of a person who has lost their memory and has mental powers. He uses his abilities to get out of the place where he is being held and find out about his strange past. The author is named David Doak, whose name you may know from the N64 game Goldeneye. Since Free Radical doesn’t exist anymore, it’s not clear what will happen with the series in the future.
Half-Life

This first-person shooter changed the style of games in its genre. Everything happened in one place, the story was told naturally through the game play. And the player was never taken out of charge.
Players could feel the effects of the monster invasion better when they saw Black Mesa as a normal. Working research center before their science experiment goes horribly wrong. The setting is memorable, like The Oldest House, but the player doesn’t grow as much as they did in Charge. There is something special about the first game and the fact that it all takes place in the study center. The sequel is also a landmark game in the genre. The group of modders also took this game to a whole new level.
Alan Wake 2

It’s not often that AAA video games do something risky, brave, or new these days. That being said, Remedy should be praised for making Alan Wake 2 into what is probably their best game ever.
Alan Wake 2 is a groundbreaking game that tries to bring together all of Remedy’s games into a single world. It does this in a way that is only possible in video games. Fans should definitely play the second Alan Wake game, even if they haven’t played the first one yet. It’s that good.
