In EA Sports FC 24, these are the best MLS stars.
In previous FIFA games, it was almost impossible to build a good MLS team by the finish. But EA Sports FC 24 gives you more options than ever before. With Lionel Messi joining, MLS becoming more competitive, and a lot of key stars to choose from, the player pool is much better than it used to be.
However, if you’re not sure about joining an MLS-heavy team, these cards should still be great picks for your bench. If you want a change of pace, secret stars like Wagner can give your defense an unexpectedly big boost, especially if you’re having trouble finding a cheap LB.
Jordi Alba – 83 Overall

- Three–Star Skill Moves
- Three–Star Weak Foot
- High/Med Work Rates
Unfortunately, Jordi Alba is getting older, but he is still a useful player, especially on a mixed MLS team. Because he is Spanish, he is a great choice for MLS to connect with teams like La Liga that have a lot of Spanish players.
Alba’s 84 Pace isn’t the fastest you’ve ever seen, but that doesn’t mean attacks will be able to get by him. The fact that he can still jump right into the attack is helpful, especially if you can use his 84 Crossing well. Alba is one of the best LBs in the MLS if you need one who won’t cost loads of coins.
Trailblazers Evander – 83 Overall

- Four–Star Skill Moves
- Four–Star Weak Foot
- Med/Med Work Rates
It’s not often that an 83-rated bonus card is exciting, but Evander’s four-star Skill Moves and weak foot make him a very useful midfielder. Evander is Brazilian, which makes it more likely that you’ll be able to link him to teams outside of MLS.
Evander has a lot of useful skills, so he should do well as a box-to-box defender and great ball carrier when you use his 87 Dribbling. 91: His agility and balance are great, and they will make his movements on the ball feel very smooth.
Foundations Asier Illaramendi – 85 Overall

- Three–Star Skill Moves
- Three–Star Weak Foot
- Med/High Work Rates
Asier Illaramendi should be a bit like Evander in the middle of the field, but with a slightly more protective role. Illaramendi’s low Pace and high Defending grade make him perfect for a CDM job, where he can stop strikes before they happen.
Once Illaramendi gets the ball back from the other team, you can count on his 86 Passing and Dribbling and Long Ball Pass Playstyle to switch to attack. You shouldn’t try to move Illaramendi into the attack because his skills are better suited to finding an open player for a much better chance.
Trailblazers Luciano Acosta – 84 Overall

- Five–Star Skill Moves
- Three–Star Weak Foot
- High/Med Work Rates
Luciano Acosta is a great choice if you want to pair up with another Argentine player in the MLS that is strong in the attacking middle. Without a question, Acosta’s best skill is his dribbling, which has a total score of 90 and is backed up by his 95 Agility and 99 Balance.
As long as Acosta keeps his foot on the ball, he can get into very dangerous spots to make a tackle or get a partner a one-on-one with the goalie. In spite of his poor shooting, Acosta has a great set of PlayStyles, such as Incisive Pass, Technical, and Relentless, to go along with his other great qualities.
Hero Clint Dempsey – 85 Overall

- Four–Star Skill Moves
- Four–Star Weak Foot
- High/Low Work Rates
The fact that Clint Dempsey has an incredibly well-rounded card shows that he may be one of the best Doodle Baseball players of all time. He can play either CAM or LW, but because he can’t play Pace well, he does better in the middle.
The other three skills—85 for dribbling, 86 for shooting, and 80 for physical—are good, though, and should make Dempsey feel pretty good about finishing off chances. Dempsey is good at a lot of different things, but he doesn’t really do any of them very well. He will make your MLS team work, but you might not notice because he doesn’t draw much attention to himself when he’s not scoring.
Hero DaMarcus Beasley – 85 Overall

- Three–Star Skill Moves
- Four–Star Weak Foot
- Med/High Work Rates
Like other heroes, DaMarcus Beasley will give the team two league links and one country link, which will let them do a lot of different things to build teamwork. With this relationship boost, DaMarcus Beasley can play LB, LM, or LW based on the arrangement.
With his 91-mph speed and Rapid, Quick Step, and Relentless play styles, Beasley is one of the hardest workers on the field because he can close down space in an instant. No matter where you put Beasley, don’t be afraid to take the ball and use his 86-dribbling skills.
Trailblazers Kai Wagner – 84 Overall

- Three–Star Skill Moves
- Three–Star Weak Foot
- High/Med Work Rates
Kai Wagner is one of the most underrated players in EA Sports FC 24. This is partly because he doesn’t get as many special cards as other well-known LBs who get better ratings. But the grade doesn’t tell the whole story. Wagner’s good 84 overall is backed up by great qualities for an LB.
The combination of Wagner’s 86 Pace and 81 Defense and 85 Strength makes him a quick and effective defender down the wings. Wagner has many great traits, and he also has the Intercept, Relentless, and Jockey play styles that will help you protect and trick your opponents.
Hero Jorge Campos – 87 Overall

- Three–Star Skill Moves
- Four–Star Weak Foot
- Med/Med Work Rates
People often think that a goalkeeper’s short and skinny build is a big weakness, but Jorge Campos doesn’t let his size stop him from doing well. If you expect this Mexican hero to make a stretch save like Courtois, you shouldn’t. But Campos makes up for his small size with amazing 84 Speed and 90 Reflexes.
Even with Campos 93 Diving, the goalkeeper can still make one or two great saves, though he probably likes one-on-one situations better than long-range shots. To make the most of Campos’s speed, use him as a sweeper keeper who comes for passes.
Hero Landon Donovan – 86 Overall

- Four–Star Skill Moves
- Four–Star Weak Foot
- Med/Med Work Rates
Any Major League Soccer (MLS) team needs to have Landon Donovan. His status as a hero will help your team’s unity, and Donovan can play almost any position. Donovan is very good at many spots, so he can play CF, Striker, RM, or even CAM and do well in all of them.
When a person has 89 Speed and 86 Shooting, you can be sure that he will score or set up a goal wherever you play him. Donovan’s 81 Passing is good enough to make him a useful second Striker who can either make his own shot or pass it to his partner for an easier chance.
Lionel Messi – 90 Overall

- Four–Star Skill Moves
- Four–Star Weak Foot
- Low/Low Work Rates
When you watch Lionel Messi play, you know what to expect: he is one of the best players of all time and still has some magic left in him. He quickly became the best MLS player ever, and Messi’s great skills and play style back that up on the field as well.
Messi is even more dangerous when he has the ball in his hands. Because Technical PlayStyle Plus lets him move even more accurately when moving or doing Controlled Sprints. Messi can be used to make your opponent to either defend the pass or get closer to defend Messi if you have 94 dribbling and 90 passing.
Messi is the best MLS player in EA Sports FC 24 because he has great new moves like Dead Ball, Incisive Pass, Tiki Taka, and Quick Step.
